Essential TestDrive Sandbox Information

Announcements

Jan 5, 2025

  • TestDrive has discontinued support for sandbox enablement for partners and employees. If you are a partner or employee, please check out the Proving Ground (PG).

Sep 4, 2024

  • Sandbox enablement returns for prospects and customers.
  • If you have an active UEM sandbox that was enabled before September 30, 2024, you must manually configure the UEM tenant's “APNs for MDM” settings. In all new customer UEM sandbox tenants, both APNs and Android EMM are pre-configured.
  • In all new customer sandbox enablements, the sandbox Terms of Use must be accepted.
  • All new customer UEM and Access sandbox tenants are provisioned in North American environments, as stated in their Terms of Use. This setup removes previous restrictions on inter-service linking in sandboxes.
  • Customers seeking comprehensive Workspace ONE configuration validation should utilize Workspace ONE Trials. Contact your Omnissa sales representative for details.

What's a Sandbox?

In DIY / Sandboxes, invited prospects and customers can enable a fully accessible UEM and Access sandbox tenant in an Omnissa Shared SaaS environment. These sandboxes are designed to facilitate customer discussions where deeper product knowledge and basic configuration validation are desired.

Please note, due to operational limitations in sandbox tenant provisioning, a Workspace ONE Trial should be used for extensive POC experiences.

All Sandbox Tenants

  • All sandbox tenants are provided for temporary use.
  • All sandbox tenants are brokered by TestDrive on behalf of the TestDrive user.
  • All sandbox tenants are in a production code Workspace ONE environment.
  • When a TestDrive account becomes inactive, all linked sandbox tenants also becomes inactive.
  • Omnissa SaaS Operations, not TestDrive, manages all Workspace ONE UEM and Workspace ONE Access environments.

  • Sandbox tenants can not be converted to production.
  • Sandbox tenant resets (i.e., do-overs) are not supported in the TestDrive portal.
  • Login trouble? To reset the TestDrive-created basic admin account password, use the UEM environment's password reset function.
  • Workspace ONE Assist is not supported in a TestDrive-brokered UEM sandbox tenant. Assist is supported in TestDrive DemoZone.
  • Workspace ONE Intelligence is a time-restricted trial per Intelligence Operations' policy. Intelligence is available after opt-in from your UEM sandbox. If more time is needed, the Intelligence trial can be extended by your inviter through a defined internal process.
