PG Organization Owner Update for Omnissa Employees

Overview

As part of Omnissa’s launch, all EUC Cloud Services' organizations were migrated from the Cloud Services platform to Omnissa Connect (OC). That took care of the org, not the owner.

Former VMware employees must complete a second phase to update the PG organization’s owner. This TestDrive KB will guide you in identifying your PG’s organization ID and then requesting Omnissa Connect support to add your Omnissa email address to the Omnissa Connect PG organization.

All changes to Omnissa Connect organization owners are managed by Omnissa Connect support, not TestDrive.

Prerequisite: An Omnissa Account

You need an Omnissa Account. An Omnissa Account is separate from your corporate Omnissa identity but uses your omnissa.com email address. Get an Omnissa Account here.

Steps to Update the Org Owner

  1. Send TestDrive support a ticket to obtain your PG’s OC Org ID (cspOrgId).
You need the OC organization ID to proceed to step 2.
  2. In Omnissa Jira, create a JASPER - NON GCS ticket to add your Omnissa email address as an owner to the PG’s Omnissa Connect organization. If you require assistance with creating the ticket, reach out to your lead.
Enter these values in your JASPER - NON GCS ticket:

    • Component: Services-Omnissa Connect
    • Include the PG’s Omnissa Connect Org Id.
    • Complete required fields.
  3. After your Omnissa email address is added, you’ll receive an email invitation to the OC PG organization. This email is the standard ‘Get started with Workspace ONE…’ email.

  4. Use the email’s “activate” or “get started” button URL and log in with your Omnissa email address.

***You will be authenticated with your federated corporate identity.***

  5. Go to your PG organization’s Personal Settings → User Settings → View My Profile.

  6. In Account Settings →Profile tab → in Omnissa Account Details…click 'link an Omnissa Account” and follow the wizard.
