Experience Omnissa Intelligence¶
This guide is designed to help readers explore and demonstrate Omnissa Intelligence in TestDrive, showing how to navigate the environment and review key capabilities such as dashboards, risk analytics, automation, experience management, reporting, and integrations.
Before You Begin¶
You need the following:
- An active TestDrive account. Go here to register for TestDrive.
Overview¶
Omnissa Intelligence turns fragmented IT data into actionable insight. It brings together device, app, user, and security information to help administrators monitor performance, identify risk, and respond before issues affect employees. By combining analytics, automation, and reporting, it enables more proactive management, stronger security posture, and a better end-user experience.
In simpler terms: it helps IT move from reacting to problems to preventing them.
Navigate to Omnissa Intelligence¶
You access Omnissa Intelligence from the TestDrive portal. Use your TestDrive demo account credentials.
- Log in at testdrive.omnissa.com with your TestDrive demo account.
- In the DemoZone area, select the Workspace ONE UEM tile and click Launch. Alternatively, select the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub tile and click Launch, then launch the Workspace ONE UEM Console web app in the Hub.
- Once in the UEM console, click your username in the upper-right corner and verify your role is Tenant Administrator at TestDrive.
4. Go to Monitor > Intelligence and click Launch.
5. Intelligence will load. Ignore the pop-up and click "Skip and Continue to Intelligence".
Intelligence Dashboards¶
Here we'll review the features of Omnissa Intelligence starting with Dashboards. Select Dashboards in the left navigation to view your library of dashboards. You'll see other environment users' dashboards.
Omnissa Intelligence gives admins the ability to view and create dashboards around any KPI across apps, devices, users, and OS updates. Dashboards are template driven, giving admins a starting point while still allowing full customization of KPIs to meet their specific needs. Admins can resize and move these widgets around the dashboard as they choose.
A few things to know:
- Dashboards are shared across the environment, so you'll see dashboards created by other TestDrive users alongside your own, each showing its widget count and when it was last modified.
- Access to each dashboard can be controlled individually through Manage Access, so admins decide who can view or edit it.
- Widgets are template driven, giving you a fast starting point, but every KPI, filter, and visualization can be fully customized to your needs.
To create a dashboard:
- Click Add Dashboard in the upper-right corner of the Dashboards page.
- Enter a Name and optional Description, then click Save.
- Click Add Widget and choose an existing template, or start from a blank widget.
- Configure the widget's data source, filters, and visualization type.
- Click Save to add the widget to your dashboard, then repeat to add more widgets.
- Resize and reposition the widgets on the dashboard to arrange your layout.
Risk Analytics¶
Omnissa Intelligence's Workspace Security > Security Risk dashboards continuously scan every managed device for threat, compliance, and encryption risk, giving admins one place to find at-risk devices instead of digging through separate consoles or building a custom report.
Why it's valuable: Threat, compliance, and encryption data typically live in separate tools (MTD vendor consoles, UEM compliance policies, endpoint encryption status). Security Risk brings all of it into one pre-scored view that's ready to drill into or hand off to automation.
A few things to know:
- Threat data is sourced from the Trust Network, which aggregates signals from integrated security partners (for example, mobile threat defense vendors), so no separate console is needed to see what's been flagged.
- Each sub-dashboard links directly to a filtered device list, so you can go from a summary chart straight to the exact devices at risk.
- Findings here map directly to automation triggers, for example, quarantining a device the moment it's flagged as compromised.
Demo steps:
- In the left navigation, select Workspace Security > Security Risk.
- Threats Summary (default tab): Review the number of threats reported by integrated Trust Network security solutions, such as malware, policy violations, and suspicious network activity.
- Select the Compromised Devices tab: View devices that violated a compliance policy (for example, denylisted apps, no passcode, or not seen in the last 24 hours) in the past 28 days.
- Select the Policy Risks tab: View passcode-less devices detected in the past 30 days, and note how this could feed an automation to quarantine the device or restrict its access.
- Select the Vulnerabilities tab: View unencrypted or vulnerable Windows and Mac devices from the past 30 days, and note how this could drive an encryption enforcement policy.
- On any chart, point to a data point for a per-platform breakdown, or click View to open the underlying list of impacted devices.
Automation¶
Omnissa Intelligence's automation engine (powered by Freestyle Orchestrator) lets admins turn insights into action, triggering remediation the moment risky conditions are detected.
Why it's valuable: Automations replace manual, ticket-driven remediation with self-healing workflows, saving IT time and closing the gap between detecting an issue and fixing it.
Demo steps:
- Select Freestyle Workflows in the left navigation.
- Open the sample Malware Threat Detected workflow to view it. Do not edit, delete, or activate sample workflows in TestDrive.
- Review its Trigger/Filter conditions and the chained Actions, which can include Workspace ONE actions (notify a user, remove VPN access, push a remediation profile) as well as third-party actions like Slack or ServiceNow.
Experience Management¶
Experience Management collects telemetry from managed Windows and macOS devices and Horizon virtual desktops (via the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub or Horizon Client) to score and troubleshoot the actual end-user experience, not just device compliance.
Why it's valuable: Device health, app performance, and boot/login telemetry let admins trace a poor experience back to a specific device, app, or event, instead of waiting for a user to call the help desk.
A few things to know:
- Experience scores are calculated for the Organization, Users, Desktop Apps, Mobile Apps (Intelligence SDK apps), and Device Health, each rated Good, Neutral, or Poor.
- Telemetry updates roughly every 10 minutes, but experience scores are only recalculated every 4 hours, so don't expect scores to change instantly during a demo.
- A user's record brings their Overview, Experience, and Security tabs together in one place, combining experience score, risk score, devices, and most-used apps for consolidated troubleshooting.
Demo steps:
- Select Experience Management in the left navigation.
- Open Organization Overview to see experience scores at a glance across physical devices and virtual sessions.
- Open Experience Score, and switch between the Physical tab (desktop apps, mobile apps, and device health) and the Virtual tab (Horizon sessions).
- Use the search (magnifying glass) icon in the header, choose Users, and search for a user to open their record.
- On the user record, review the Overview tab for their overall Experience and Risk scores, then check the Experience tab for a Device Health and app breakdown.
Reports¶
Reports deliver the same underlying data used in dashboards as point-in-time or recurring exports, so stakeholders who don't log in to Intelligence still get the insights they need.
Why it's valuable: Scheduled, shareable reports keep management, InfoSec, and other teams informed without requiring them to build or access dashboards themselves.
Demo steps:
- Select Reports in the left navigation and click Add Report.
- Choose a template, then configure filters and columns.
- Save the report, then go to Schedules > Add to set a recurrence, and Overview > Share to add recipients.
Integrations¶
Intelligence unifies data from Workspace ONE UEM, Horizon, Access, and third-party tools, giving a single analytics layer across the digital workspace.
Why it's valuable: Broad, native integrations (plus REST API support for custom connectors) mean admins don't need separate tools to get a complete picture of devices, apps, users, and security posture.
Demo steps:
- Select Integrations in the top navigation.
- Click View on any connection to see its configuration. Do not edit these in TestDrive.
This wraps up an introduction to Omnissa Intelligence within TestDrive.
